France has announced that they will be enforcing an ‘Opt Out’ organ donation policy that would see all deceased people having their organs harvested for those on transplant waiting lists. If you don’t want this to happen then you must formally request to ‘Opt Out’ of the process.
Irish TD’s have been quick to join the call for a similar process in Ireland. We heard from Sarah Lamont who is going to donate part of her liver and one of her kidneys to help save the life of her 4 year old son Joe.
